upon him be blessings and peace: “Be gentle with the glass vessels.”¹
The day Muslim women—save for the rare dissenter, who will then be a lonely, humbled exception among the compliant—heed Allah’s command, that will be the day the Muslims recover their honour and glory. Their polity will be re-established, and Allah will grant them victory over their enemies: “On that day the believers will rejoice in Allah’s help” (30:4).
That, however, will only occur if the men answer His call before the women, and—Allah willing—that time is near: “O you who believe, respond to Allah and the Messenger when he summons you to that which gives you life; and know that Allah intervenes between a person and his heart, and that to Him you will all be gathered” (8:24).
