In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Preface to the Second Edition:
All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the worlds. May Allah’s blessings and peace be upon the finest of His messengers and the seal of His prophets, upon his family, his Companions, and his brethren1—those who hold fast to his sunnah and follow his guidance until the Day of Recompense.
To proceed: This is the second edition of our book, “The Muslim Woman’s Veil,” being released by the Islamic Office—may Allah reward its proprietor generously—ten years after the first printing. Over that decade our certainty has only grown that the book must be circulated and made widely available among Muslims, especially among those women who have been deceived by the false shine of European modernity and swept away by its glitter and temptations. They have adopted the brazen display of the first Age of Ignorance, exposing before unrelated men parts of their bodies that, in earlier times, no woman would have dared show even to her own father or other male relatives!
