Jilbab al-Marah al-Muslimah fi al-Kitab wa al-SunnahNasir al-Din al-Albani

He saw me wearing two saffron-dyed garments and said, “These are garments of the unbelievers; do not wear them.”

2- ʿAlī (may Allah be pleased with him) traced the following back to the Prophet ﷺ:
“Beware of the dress of monks. Whoever adopts their attire or imitates them is not of me.”

3- Abū Umāmah said:

(2) Al-Tabarani cites it in al-Muʿjam al-Awsat with a chain he describes as “not objectionable”; so Ibn Hajar states in Fath al-Bari, 10/223. I now add in this edition: Ibn Hajar likely meant that the isnad is acceptable only as corroborative evidence, for when I examined it I found defects that oblige me to judge the report weak. I therefore included it in Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Daʿifah, no. 3234, where the details are given; Allah alone guides. (3) Ahmad transmits the hadith, 5/264, through the route of al-Qasim, who said: “I heard it from Abu Umamah.” I say: this isnad is hasan; all its narrators are reliable except al-Qasim—namely al-Qasim ibn ʿAbd al-Rahman Abu ʿAbd al-Rahman al-Dimashqi—whose hadith is graded hasan. Al-Haythami remarks in Majmaʿ al-Zawaʾid, 5/131: “Ahmad and al-Tabarani relate it; the men in Ahmad’s chain are those of the Sahih, apart from al-Qasim, who is trustworthy, and the comments about him do not harm his reliability.” Yet Ahmad’s shaykh in the chain is Zayd ibn Yahya, who is not among the narrators of the two Sahihs—neither Bukhari nor Muslim—so Haythami’s statement on that point is an oversight. He then cites a supporting narration from Jabir ibn ʿAbd Allah recorded by al-Tabarani in al-Awsat, which ends: “And oppose the allies of Satan with all the power you can muster.”
