Condition Six: Her clothing must not resemble men’s clothing.
This is affirmed by a set of rigorously authenticated hadiths that pronounce a curse upon any woman who imitates men—whether in dress or otherwise. The reports we are aware of include the following:
1 – Abu Hurayrah narrated that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: “The Messenger of Allah cursed the man who wears women’s attire and the woman who wears men’s attire.”
(1) Reported by Abu Dawud, 2:182; Ibn Majah, 1:588; al-Hakim, 4:194; and Ahmad, 2:325, through the chain of Suhayl b. Abi Salih from his father. Al-Hakim ruled it “sahih according to Muslim’s criteria,” a judgment endorsed by al-Dhahabi, and the assessment is sound. Ibn Hibban also placed it in his Sahih, nos. 1455–1456 (Mawarid). Al-Mundhiri in al-Targhib, 3:105–6, and al-Shawkani in Nayl al-Awtar, 2:98, ascribe it to al-Nasa’i—apparently in his Sunan al-Kubra—and the printed edition confirms its presence there (5:397). Al-Shawkani further notes: “Its transmitters are those of the Sahih collections.”
الشرط السادس: "أن لا يشبه لباس الرجل"
لما ورد من الأحاديث الصحيحة في لعن المرأة التي تتشبه بالرجل في اللباس أو غيره. وإليك ما نعلمه منها:
١- عن أبي هريرة قال:
"لعن رسول الله ﷺ الرجل يلبس لبسة المرأة والمرأة تلبس لبسة الرجل".
١ أخرجه أبو داود "٢/ ١٨٢"، وابن ماجه "١/ ٥٨٨"، والحاكم "٤/ ١٩٤"، وأحمد "٢/ ٣٢٥"، من طريق سهيل بن أبي صالح عن أبيه عنه. وقال الحاكم:
"صحيح على شرط مسلم"، وأقره الذهبي، وهو كما قالا.
ورواه ابن حبان أيضًا في "صحيحه" "١٤٥٥ و١٤٥٦ - موارد"، عزاه المنذري في "الترغيب" "٣/ ١٠٥-١٠٦" والشوكاني في "نيل الأوطار" "٢/ ٩٨" للنسائي، ولعله في "سننه الكبرى"، ثم طبع، وهو فيه "٥/ ٣٩٧"، ثم قال الشوكاني:
"ورجاله رجال الصحيح".
