Points of benefit derived from the ḥadīth:

1. The ḥadīth exhibits the Messenger’s ﷺ compassion for his ummah and the sincerity of his counsel to them.
2. For the righteous, ostentation is more to be feared than the trial of the Antichrist.
3. One must beware of ostentation and of shirk in all its forms.
