Impediments to Legal Responsibility
15 – What are the impediments that lift legal responsibility, and what textual evidence proves them?
– Do those impediments apply as well to the rights of other human beings?
The General (ʿĀmm)
16 – Define the general term, first linguistically and then technically. Identify what your definition deliberately excludes, list the word-forms that denote generality, and supply examples. When a noun is made definite by the particle al-, does that necessarily convey generality, or is there a nuanced ruling? Clarify with illustrations.

– What is istithnāʾ (exception)? State the conditions you know for its validity, mentioning the areas of disagreement and the preferred view together with its evidence.
– What is meant by a condition that produces specification? What is the qualifying attribute that restricts a ruling? Provide examples of each.
18 – What are the separate specifiers (munfaṣṣila)? What is the argument of those who deny specification by reason or by sensory perception? May the Qur’an be specified by the Sunnah, and the Sunnah by the Qur’an? Clarify with examples. Offer two further examples: one where the Qur’an is specified by scholarly consensus, and another where the Sunnah is specified by analogy.
The Absolute and the Restricted
19 – What is the muṭlaq (absolute), and what does your definition exclude? Define the muqayyad (restricted). When an absolute text appears
