there is no fixed remembrance for tawaf that is traceable to the Prophet ﷺ—neither by his command, nor his wording, nor his instruction. During tawaf one may invoke Allah with any of the lawful supplications. The specific prayers that many people recite beneath the mizab and similar places have no foundation. The Prophet ﷺ used to conclude his circumambulation, between the two corners, with the supplication: “Our Lord, grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.”
Hadith 2
ʿAbd Allah ibn ʿAbbas reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his Companions arrived in Mecca. The idolaters said, “A people are coming to you who have been weakened by the fever of Yathrib.” The Prophet ﷺ therefore ordered them to jog (raml) in the first three circuits and to walk between the two corners, and nothing prevented him from telling them to jog in all the circuits except his compassion for them.

Overall meaning
In the sixth year AH the Prophet ﷺ set out for Mecca to perform ʿumrah, accompanied by many of his Companions. Accordingly, they arrived in the seventh year for the “ʿumrah of restitution.” The polytheists, gloating and spiteful, said among themselves, “A people will soon come to you who have been enfeebled by the fever of Yathrib.” When their remark reached the Prophet ﷺ, he resolved to rebut their claim and vex them. He instructed his Companions to move swiftly (raml) except in the stretch between the Yemeni Corner and the Corner containing the Black Stone, where they were to walk gently out of mercy and consideration for them, when
