“O Allah! Deliver al-Walid ibn al-Walid, Salamah ibn Hisham, and ‘Ayyash ibn Abi Rabi‘ah. O Allah! Tighten Your grip upon Mudar and make their years (of drought) like the years of Joseph. [O Allah! Curse Lihyan, Ri‘l, Dhakwan, and ‘Usayyah—they disobeyed Allah and His Messenger].” (*)
Then, when he had finished the qunut, he would say, “Allahu akbar,” and would prostrate. (1)

" اللهم! أنج الوليد بن الوليد، وسلمة بن هشام، وعياش بن أبي
ربيعة، اللهم! اشدد وطأتك على مضر، واجعلها سنين كسني يوسف،
[اللهم! العن لِحْيَانَ ورِعْلاً وذكوانَ، وعُصَيَّة عصت الله ورسوله] " (*)
ثم " كان يقول - إذا فرغ من القنوت -:
" الله أكبر ". فيسجد " (١)
