Asl Sifat Salat al-NabiNasir al-Din al-Albani

12- “O Allah! I seek refuge in Your pleasure from Your wrath, and in Your granting of well-being from Your punishment. I seek refuge in You from Yourself. I cannot enumerate Your praise; You are exactly as You have praised Yourself.”

effects throughout the whole body; others understand it as a literal, outward light. In any case, the request is that Allah place in every one of his limbs a light on the Day of Resurrection by which he—and those who follow him—will find illumination amid the prevailing darkness. Allah knows best. This is my isnad. (12) It is narrated from Aisha, who said: “I missed the Messenger of Allah one night in bed and went looking for him. My hand touched the soles of his feet—he was in the mosque, his feet raised—and he was saying …,” and she reported the entire supplication. Muslim records it (2/51); likewise Abu Awana (2/169–170, 188), Abu Dawud (1/140), Ibn Abi Shayba in al-Musannaf (12/106/2 = 6/19/29131), and Ibn Nasr (p. 75), all through Ubayd Allah ibn Umar, from Muhammad ibn Yahya ibn Hibban, from al-Araj, from Abu Hurayra, from her. The extra phrases are found in Ibn Nasr; the first of them appears in Muslim, while the last is in Abu Dawud and Abu Awana (p. 169). A second route is given by al-Nasa’i (1/169) and al-Tahawi (1/138) through Yahya ibn Sa id, from Muhammad ibn Ibrahim ibn al-Harith al-Taymi: Aisha said, “I missed the Messenger of Allah one night and found him in prostration, the fronts of his feet toward the qibla, and I heard him say …,” reporting the prayer without the first two additions. This chain meets the conditions of al-Bukhari and Muslim. Al-Tahawi also transmits it through al-Faraj ibn Fadala, from Yahya ibn Sa id, from Amra, from Aisha, and that version contains the additional phrases. See Sahih Abi Dawud, no. 823.
