Asl Sifat Salat al-NabiNasir al-Din al-Albani

10- “O Allah, forgive me for what I have concealed and what I have openly declared.”

and that he heard it from Ibn Abi Mulayka in the version preserved by Abu Awana; the additional phrase is supplied by al-Nasai. It has another chain: Ibn Nasr (no. 75) relates—“Ishaq told us; al-Makhzumi informed us; Wuhayb narrated to us from Khalid al-Hadda from Muhammad ibn Ubad, from her—that she said: ‘The Messenger of Allah used to say in his night prayer, while in prostration: Subhanaka la ilaha illa anta (Glory be to You; there is no god but You).’ ” This isnad is sound according to Muslim’s criteria. Al-Makhzumi is al-Mughira ibn Salama Abu Hashim al-Basri. This version makes it clear that the setting intended in the first narration is prostration. (10) This is also reported from Aisha. She said: “I missed the Messenger of Allah from his bed, so I began searching for him, thinking he might have gone to one of his slave-women. My hand touched him while he was prostrating, and he was saying …” and so on. Al-Nasai (1/169) and Ibn Nasr (no. 75) transmitted it through Jarir, from Mansur, from Hilal ibn Yasaf, from her. Al-Nasai—likewise al-Hakim (1/221)—also narrated it through Shu‘bah, from Mansur, with the same contents except that it reads: “Rabbi!” (Lord!) instead of “Allahumma!” (O Allah!). It is not actually found in the printed Mustadrak. Al-Hakim nevertheless remarked, “Sound according to the criteria of the Two Shaykhs,” and al-Dhahabi agreed. This is inaccurate; it meets only Muslim’s criteria, for al-Bukhari cites Hilal ibn Yasaf only in a suspended form. (*) The author—may Allah have mercy on him—also traced it in the printed edition of as-Sifah by Ibn Abi Shaybah (12/112/1), where it appears through a different route: “Ubaydah ibn Humayd narrated to us, from Mansur, from Ibrahim, from her.”
