Asl Sifat Salat al-NabiNasir al-Din al-Albani

8- “Glory be to the Possessor of might, dominion, magnificence, and majesty.” The Prophet would recite this—together with the following supplication—during the night prayer.

9- “Glory be to You, O Allah, and praise is Yours; there is no deity except You.”

and in its chain appears Uthman ibn Ata al-Khurasani; Duhim judged him trustworthy, whereas al-Bukhari, Muslim, Ibn Main and others declared him weak. I add: In Taqrib he is graded “weak.” Ibn Hajar also cites the report in Talkhis (3/470–471) with virtually the same wording up to the phrase, “like a garment lying on the ground, in prostration …” Therefore it is apparently the same narration. He comments: “It was transmitted by Ibn al-Jawzi from Aisha, and its chain contains Sulayman ibn Abi Karima, whom Ibn Adi considered weak, saying: most of his reports are munkar. Al-Tabarani likewise included it in his book al-Du a under ‘What is to be said in prostration.’ ” It later became clear that the supporting narrations just mentioned are not sound once their chains are examined directly; see al-Daifa, nos. 2145 and 6579. (8) This wording is also reported from Awf ibn Malik al-Ashja i. The complete text has already been cited under “Recitation in the Night Prayer,” and I presented a corroborating narration for it under “Ruku .” (9) It is likewise related from Aisha, who said: “One night I missed the Prophet and thought he had gone to one of his wives. I felt around, then returned to find him bowing—or prostrating—saying …” and so on. Muslim (2/51), Abu Awana (2/169), al-Nasai (1/169) and Ahmad (6/151) narrated it through Ibn Jurayj from Ata, who said: Ibn Abi Mulayka informed me from her. Ibn Jurayj explicitly stated that he heard it from Ata in the versions of Muslim and Ahmad, and that he heard it from Ibn Abi… (text ends here).
