“It was transmitted by al-Tabarani in al-Muʿjam al-Kabir (3/108/2 = 6/162/5860), and all of its narrators are reliable.”
I add: al-Daraqutni (102) also recorded it through the route of ʿUbayd Allah b. Musa—related to us by ʿAbd al-Salam b. Hafs, from Abu Hazim, from him. This isnad is sound: its transmitters are those found in the Six Books, apart from ʿAbd al-Salam; nevertheless a number of scholars transmitted from him and Ibn Maʿin declared him trustworthy.
The manner in which the congregation turned, mentioned in this report, is clarified even more explicitly in another narration, namely:
Fourth hadith – Tuwayla (diminutive form, initial ta) bint Aslam said: “While we were standing in our place praying among Banu Haritha, ʿAbbad b. Qubti announced: ‘The Messenger of Allah ﷺ has turned toward the Sacred House, the Kaʿba.’ The men then moved to where the women had been and the women to where the men had been, and we completed the remaining two rakʿas facing the Kaʿba.” Al-Haythami comments: “Al-Tabarani reports it in al-Kabir and its narrators are reliable.”
I note that Ibn Hajar, in Fath al-Bari (1/399, 402), attributes the hadith to Ibn Abi Hatim and offers no judgment on it; reliance therefore rests on both of them. I also found that Ibn Hajar cites it in al-Isaba under the entry of Tuwayla, stating: “Al-Tabarani relates her hadith through Ibrahim b. Hamza al-Zubayri → Ibrahim b. Jaʿfar b. Mahmud b. Muhammad b. Maslama → his father → his paternal grandmother Tuwayla bint Aslam—one of the women who pledged allegiance—who said…,” after which he reproduces the report.
This chain consists of trustworthy transmitters except for Ibrahim b. Jaʿfar; I could locate no information on him, though I suspect he appears in Ibn Hibban’s al-Thiqat, the principal source from which al-Haythami draws when declaring little-known narrators reliable in Majmaʿ al-Zawaʾid. Allah knows best.

* The late Shaykh, in the printed edition of al-Sifah (p. 77), likewise attributes the hadith to al-Sarraj.
