Asl Sifat Salat al-NabiNasir al-Din al-Albani

And he would instruct them to do so, saying:

“When the imam declares: Samia-llahu liman ḥamidah (Allah hears those who praise Him), then say: Allahumma rabbana laka al-ḥamd (O Allah, our Lord, to You belongs all praise); for whoever’s taʾmīn (saying ‘Ameen’) coincides with the taʾmīn of the angels, his past sins will be forgiven.” *

At times he would add to this, either:

5- “Milʾa al-samāwāti, wa-milʾa al-arḍ, wa-milʾa mā shiʾta min shayʾin baʿd (the fullness of the heavens, the fullness of the earth, and the fullness of whatever else You will beyond that),”

or:

(*) It was already documented on p. 681 and cited earlier in the section on standing (p. 87). (5) The report is traced to the Companion Abd Allah ibn Abi Awfa, who said: Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ raised his back from bowing he would say, “Samia-llahu liman hamidah, Allahumma rabbana, laka-l-hamd, filling the heavens …,” and so on—without the additional phrase marked (*). It is recorded by Muslim (2/46–47), Abu Awana (2/177), Abu Dawud, Ibn Majah, al-Tahawi, al-Bayhaqi, and Ahmad, as noted a moment ago; all—except al-Tahawi—narrate it through al-Aʿmash from Ubayd ibn al-Hasan from him. Qays ibn al-Rabiʿ also supports it in the Musnad of al-Tayalisi (to be quoted shortly), and Misʿar corroborates it in Ahmad (4/355–356), though he does not say, “when he raised his back from bowing.” (*) That is, the words: “Allahumma, purify me with snow, hail, and cold water; Allahumma, cleanse me of sins and transgressions as a white garment is cleansed of dirt” (in one version: “filth,” in another: “impurity”). The shaykh had first inserted this wording into the text, then struck it out, remarking, “We deleted it because none of its chains states that he said it after bowing; it is transmitted without qualification.” I have nevertheless kept it here because of its relevance to the documentation, as will become clear.
