Asl Sifat Salat al-NabiNasir al-Din al-Albani

Muhammad b. Ishaq also corroborates the report; al-Bukhari and Ibn Khuzayma both transmit his version, and the latter explicitly states that Ibn Ishaq heard it from Abbas, as noted in Fath al-Bari. 5. From Ali b. Abi Talib, with wording similar to the Ibn Umar narration transmitted through the second route. Al-Bukhari (nos. 3, 6) records it through Abd al-Rahman b. Abi al-Zinad → Musa b. Uqba → Abd Allah b. al-Fadl → Abd al-Rahman b. Hurmoz al-Araj → Ubayd Allah b. Abi Rafiʿ → Ali. This chain is hasan. Abu Dawud and others also cite it; its documentation was given earlier under “al-Rafʿ,” and Ahmad ruled it authentic, as mentioned there. 6. From Anas b. Malik: “The Messenger of Allah used to raise his hands when he entered the prayer and when he bowed.” Ibn Majah (1/284), al-Bukhari (no. 6), al-Daraqutni (p. 108), and al-Maqdisi in al-Ahadith al-Mukhtara transmit it via Abd al-Wahhab al-Thaqafi, who said: Humayd narrated to us—from Anas. Al-Daraqutni and al-Maqdisi add: “and when he raised his head after bowing, and when he prostrated.” Al-Zawaid comments: “Its isnad is sahih; its transmitters are those of the two Sahihs.” Al-Daraqutni, however, judged it mawquf, saying: “No one related it marfuʿ from Humayd except Abd al-Wahhab; the correct version is that it is an action of Anas.” Ibn Khuzayma and Ibn Hibban nevertheless included it in their Sahih collections. I add that al-Tahawi (1/134) likewise preferred the mawquf attribution. 7. From Jabir with the same wording, except that it does not include the phrase “and when he prostrated.”
