This chain is hasan (reliable). As for Abu Sawiyya – his full name is Ubayd b. Sawiyya – Ibn Hibban declared him trustworthy, and a group of reliable reporters narrated from him; hence Ibn Hajar says in al-Taqrib that he is "truthful" (saduq). The rest of the narrators are those found in Muslim’s Sahih.
Ibn Khuzayma recorded the hadith in his Sahih with the same wording, while Ibn Hibban cited it in his Sahih through this very route with the wording: “Whoever stands in prayer with two-hundred verses will be written among the muqantarin (those granted an immense reward).”
Another support comes from the marfu report of Tamim al-Dari: “Whoever recites one hundred verses in a single night will have the devotion (qunut) of an entire night recorded for him.” Al-Darimi (2/464) relates it: Yahya b. Hassan— the manuscript mistakenly reads “Bistam,” which is a copyist’s error—→ Yahya b. Hamza → Zayd b. Waqid → Sulayman b. Musa → Kathir b. Murra → Tamim.
This isnad is good; its men are those of the Sahih save Sulayman b. Musa, who is truthful although somewhat soft in narration.
Ahmad (4/103) and Ibn al-Sunni (nos. 140, 217) transmit it as well through the route of Haytham b. Humayd from Zayd b. Waqid. Al-Tabarani likewise records it in al-Kabir; Majmaʿ al-Zawaʾid (2/267) cites his wording and comments: “Its chain contains Sulayman b. Musa al-Shami: Ibn Maʿin and Abu Hatim considered him reliable, while al-Bukhari said that he has some munkar reports; this, however, is not damaging.”
There are also mawquf corroborations from Kaʿb, Tamim al-Dari, Fadala b. ʿUbayd, and Ibn Masʿud, produced by al-Darimi and others with sound chains.
