Asl Sifat Salat al-NabiNasir al-Din al-Albani

…

Ibn Khuzaymah (1/260/517) and al-Hakim (1/237) also recorded it through the route of Muhadir ibn al-Muwarra, who said: “Hisham ibn Urwah narrated to us,” with similar wording. Al-Hakim judged it “sound according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs, provided there is no irsal (a broken link).” Al-Dhahabi commented, “It is interrupted,” i.e., between Urwah and Zayd, but this is incorrect, for Urwah explicitly stated that he heard it from Zayd in al-Tahawi’s report. Thus the chain is continuous and authentic; it actually fulfills only Muslim’s criteria, since al-Bukhari cites Muhadir ibn al-Muwarra only in a suspended form. Al-Bayhaqi (2/392) reproduced it through this same chain and then said, “The correct version is the first one,” referring to the earlier report of Ibn Jurayj in which the surah is not divided between the two rakahs. I add: Muhadir was not the sole transmitter. Ahmad (5/418) said: Waki‘ narrated to us; Hisham ibn Urwah narrated to us from his father, from Abu Ayyub—or from Zayd ibn Thabit—that the Prophet ﷺ recited Surat al-A‘raf during Maghrib in both rakahs. This chain is sound according to the criteria of both Bukhari and Muslim, and the uncertainty regarding which Companion narrated it is inconsequential. Shu‘ayb ibn Abi Hamzah also narrated: Hisham ibn Urwah told us from his father, from Aishah, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ …—but he added: “He divided it between the two rakahs.” Al-Nasa’i (1/154) and al-Bayhaqi transmitted it through Abu Haywah and Baqiyah ibn al-Walid, who both said, “Shu‘ayb narrated it to us.” This chain is sound. Al-Nawawi’s statement (3/383):
