Asl Sifat Salat al-NabiNasir al-Din al-Albani

…

so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ led us in the dawn (fajr) prayer with the two surahs. Al-Nasa’i recorded it (1/151; 2/312–313), as did Ibn Khuzaymah (1/69/2 = 1/268, no. 536), al-Hakim (1/240, 567) and, through him, al-Bayhaqi. Al-Hakim said, “Sound (sahih) according to the criteria of the two shaykhs,” and al-Dhahabi concurred, whereas in reality it meets only Muslim’s criteria. Ibn Hibban also included it in his Sahih (2/4, as cited in Nasb al-Raya), Ibn Abi Shaybah in his Musannaf (12/176/1), and al-Tabarani in his Mu jam. Khalid ibn Ma dan likewise supported it on the authority of Jubayr ibn Nufayr in a longer wording similar to that of Mu awiyah ibn Salih; however, he did not mention the prayer or “Qul a udhu bi-rabbi’n-nas” (Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind), and he added: “Perhaps you have neglected them; you have never stood to pray with anything comparable to them.” Its chain is also sahih. Fourth route: Ahmad (4/24, 79) said: Isma il narrated to us: al-Jurayri, from Abu l-Ala, who said: A man related, “We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a journey …” – the report resembles the first, but it omits mention of the prayer and adds: “When you pray, recite them.” This chain is sound according to the criteria of both al-Bukhari and Muslim; Abu l-Ala is Yazid ibn Abd Allah ibn al-Shikhkhir. Shu bah also transmitted it from al-Jurayri in abridged form: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by him and said, “Recite the muʿawwidhatayn in your prayer.” The Shaykh, in the printed edition of al-Sifah (p. 110), attributes the narration to Ibn Bishran in his Amali.
