(Third) Al-Zuhri relates it from Sa id b. al-Musayyib and Abu Salamah b. Abd al-Rahman, both of whom report it from Abu Hurayra. – Also recorded by Malik (1/108); from him by al-Bukhari (2/209), Muslim (2/17), Muhammad in his Muwatta (103), Abu Dawud, al-Nasa i, likewise al-Tirmidhi (2/30), al-Bayhaqi (2/55, 57), and Ahmad (2/459). – Muslim and Ibn Majah (1/280) transmit it as well through Yunus from al-Zuhri. – Ibn Majah and Ahmad (2/233) relate it through Abd al-Ala b. Abd al-Ala from al-Zuhri with the first wording, and this version contains the additional phrase. – Al-Nasa i, al-Darimi, al-Bayhaqi, and Ahmad (2/449) report it through Muhammad b. Amr from Abu Salamah alone, without the addition. (Fourth) Ibn Wahb states: “Amr informed me that Abu Yunus narrated it to him from Abu Hurayra” with the third wording; Muslim alone records this chain. (Fifth) From Abu al-Zinad, through al-A raj, from him, with the same wording but omitting the phrase “in the prayer.” Recorded by Malik (1/111); from him by the two Shaykhs, al-Nasa i, al-Bayhaqi, and Ahmad (2/459).
