Asl Sifat Salat al-NabiNasir al-Din al-Albani

11- “He used to pronounce the takbīr ten times(1), praise Allah ten times, glorify Him ten times, proclaim His oneness ten times, and seek forgiveness ten times. Then he would say:
‘O Allah, forgive me, guide me, provide for me, [and grant me well-being],’ ten times.
And he would say:
‘O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the constriction on the Day of Reckoning,’ ten times.”

(11) This report is likewise traced back to Aishah. Imam Ahmad transmits it (6/143), and al-Tabarani in al-Muʿjam al-Awsat (62/2), through the isnad of Yazid who said: “al-Asbagh narrated to us, from Thawr ibn Yazid, from Khalid ibn Maʿdan, who said: Rabiʿ al-Jurashi told me: ‘I asked Aishah, “What did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say when he rose at night, and with what words did he begin his prayer?”’ She replied …,” and he mentioned the formula. Ibn Nasr also records it (no. 44) with the wording supplied by his chain: “Muhammad ibn Yahya told us; Yazid ibn Harun told us ….” This chain is authentic (sahih). A second route appears in Abu Dawud (1/122), al-Nasaʾi (1/240), Ibn Majah (1/409), and Ibn Abi Shaybah (12/119/2 = 6/43/29327), from Azhar ibn Saʿid al-Harazi, from ʿAsim ibn Humayd, who said: “I asked Aishah …,” reporting the same wording with the additional phrase: “wa ʿafini” (and grant me wellbeing). This isnad is hasan (reliable). There is no conflict between this narration and her earlier one, for each wording was employed at different times, as al-Sindi remarks: “and thus all of them can be harmonised.” In my view, however, this reconciliation is improbable. (1) According to al-Sindi, the supplication was pronounced together with the opening takbir (takbirat al-ihram) or immediately afterward; the idea that he said it before actually entering the prayer is unlikely.
