“O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done and from the evil of what I have not yet done.”
-
“O Allah, call me to account with an easy reckoning.”

“O Allah, by Your knowledge of the unseen and Your power over creation, keep me alive as long as You know that life is better for me, and cause me to die when death is better for me. O Allah, I ask You to grant me fear of You in private and in public. I ask You for a word of truth (in another narration: sound judgment) and [fairness] in anger and in contentment. I ask You for moderation in poverty and wealth. I ask You for a blessing that never fades, and I ask You for everlasting delight and unfailing joy. I ask You for contentment after the decree, and I ask You for cool repose after death. I ask You for the pleasure of gazing upon Your Face and for the longing to meet You, without harmful distress and without a misleading trial. O Allah, adorn us with the adornment of faith and make us guides who are themselves rightly guided.”

He ﷺ taught Abu Bakr al-Ṣiddīq ﵁ to say: “O Allah, I have greatly wronged myself, and no one forgives sins except You. So forgive me with a pardon from You and have mercy on me; indeed, You alone are the All-Forgiving, the Most Merciful.”
-
And he ordered ʿĀʾishah ﵂ to say: “O Allah, I ask You for all that is good—[its immediate and its deferred]—what I know of it and what I do not know; and I seek refuge in You from all that is evil—[its immediate and its deferred]—what I know of it and what I do not know. And I ask You (in another narration: O Allah, I ask You) for Paradise and for every word or deed that brings one near to it; and I seek refuge in You from the Fire and from every word or deed that brings one near to it. And I ask You (in another narration: O Allah, I ask You) for the [best] of what Your servant and messenger [Muhammad ﷺ] asked You for, and I seek refuge in You from the worst of what Your servant and messenger [Muhammad ﷺ] sought refuge from. [And I ask You] that whatever You have decreed for me, its outcome be [for me] right guidance.”

He said to a man, “What do you say in your prayer?” The man replied, “I recite the tashahhud, then I ask Allah for Paradise and I seek His protection from Hell. By Allah, I am not skilled at your humming, nor at the humming of Muʿādh.” The Prophet ﷺ said, “Around those two requests we are humming.”

He ﷺ heard a man say during his tashahhud: “O Allah, I ask You—O Allah (in another narration: by Allah), [the One], the Unique, the Self-Sufficient, who has neither begotten nor been begotten and to whom no one is comparable—to forgive me my sins; indeed, You are the All-Forgiving, the Most Merciful.” The Prophet ﷺ said, “He has been forgiven, he has been forgiven, he has been forgiven.”

He heard another man say during his tashahhud: “O Allah, I ask You because Yours is all praise; there is no deity but …”
