Asl Sifat Salat al-NabiNasir al-Din al-Albani

6- He instructed ʿĀʾishah—may Allah be pleased with her—to say:

“O Allah, I ask You for every kind of good, 1 [ʿājilihi wa ʾājilihi] (its immediate and its deferred), the part of it I know and the part I do not know. I seek refuge in You from every kind of evil, 2 [ʿājilihi wa ʾājilihi] (its immediate and its deferred), the part of it I know and the part I do not know. I ask You (in another wording: ‘O Allah, I indeed ask You’) for the Garden and for every word or deed that brings one nearer to it; and I seek refuge in You from the Fire and from every word or deed that brings one nearer to it.

I ask You (in another wording: ‘O Allah, I indeed ask You’) for 3 [al-] the best of what Your servant and Messenger, 4 [Muḥammad—peace and blessings be upon him], ever asked You for, and I seek refuge in You from the worst of what Your servant and Messenger, 5 [Muḥammad—peace and blessings be upon him], ever sought refuge in You from. 6 [wa-asʾaluka] (and I ask You) that, concerning whatever You decree for me, 7 [li] (for me), You make its outcome true guidance.”

(6) The report also comes directly from Aishah herself: Abu Bakr entered upon the Messenger of Allah while Aishah was praying and wished to speak to him. The Messenger said to her, “Hold fast to the kawamil (the most complete supplications)”—or a similar expression. Another version adds: “Make use, in your supplication, of the kawamil al-jawami (the all-encompassing, concise prayers).” When Aishah finished, she asked him about that, and he replied, “Say: …,” and he cited the wording. Al-Hakim narrates it (1/521–522), Ahmad (6/146–147), and al-Tayalisi (p. 219, who also transmits the alternate wording). All three relate it through Shuʿbah, from Jabr ibn Habib, from Umm Kulthum bint Abi Bakr, from Aishah. Al-Hakim declared it sahih, and al-Dhahabi agreed, and that ruling is sound. Al-Jurayri likewise follows Jabr with the wording: “Aishah said: …”
