Ibrahim ibn al-Mundhir narrated to us; Ishaq ibn Jaʿfar ibn Muhammad narrated to us; Kathir ibn ʿAbd Allah ibn ʿAmr ibn ʿAwf narrated to me—from his father, from his grandfather—that the Prophet ﷺ wrote: “Whenever you disagree about any matter, its final reference is to Allah and to Muhammad.”
