Ishaq narrated to us; Abu Usamah narrated to us; al-Aʿmash said: Abu Salih narrated to us, from Abu Saʿid al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him), who said:

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “On the Day of Resurrection Noah will be brought forward. He will be asked, ‘Did you convey the message?’ He will reply, ‘Yes, my Lord.’ Then his nation will be questioned, ‘Did he convey the message to you?’ They will answer, ‘No warner ever came to us.’ It will be said, ‘Who will testify on your behalf?’ He will reply, ‘Muhammad and his community.’ You will then be brought forth and you will bear witness.”

The Prophet ﷺ then recited: “Thus We have made you a middle nation, so that you may be witnesses over mankind and the Messenger may be a witness over you” (al-Baqarah 2:143).

Abu ʿAbd Allah remarked, “They are the group about whom the Prophet ﷺ said: ‘A party of my community will continue to be manifest upon the truth; those who forsake them will not harm them.’”
