Khalq Afal al-Ibad lil-BukhariAl-Bukhari

Muḥammad ibn Muqātil narrated to us; ʿAbd Allah narrated to me; Ḥammād ibn Salamah narrated to us, from ʿImrān ibn ʿAbd Allah, who said: “A man led us in prayer in the mosque of Medina during the month of Ramadan, and he introduced those affectations—meaning that he chanted the recitation melodiously. Al-Qāsim ibn Muḥammad objected to this and said, ‘Allah says: “It is indeed a mighty Book; falsehood can approach it neither from in front of it nor from behind it—a revelation from One who is All-Wise, Praiseworthy” (Fussilat 42).’”
