Ahmad ibn Yunus and Musa ibn Ismaʿil both narrated to us; they said: Ibrahim ibn Saʿd narrated to us, from Ibn Shihab, from Saʿid ibn al-Musayyib, from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace be upon him) was asked, “Which deeds are the most excellent?” He replied, “Faith in Allah and His Messenger.” They said, “Then what?” He answered, “Jihad in the path of Allah.” They said, “Then what?” He said, “An accepted pilgrimage (hajj mabroor).”

ʿAbd al-ʿAziz ibn ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Ibrahim narrated to us, from Ibn Shihab, from Saʿid, from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet (blessings and peace be upon him) with the same report.

Yahya ibn Qazaʿah narrated to us; Ibrahim ibn Saʿd narrated the same ⦗51⦘.

ʿAbd Allah ibn Muhammad narrated to us; Hisham narrated to us; Maʿmar informed us, from al-Zuhri, from Ibn al-Musayyib, from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: “A man came to the Prophet (blessings and peace be upon him) and asked, ‘O Prophet of Allah, which deeds are best?’ He replied, ‘Faith in Allah,’ and the remainder of the narration is the same.”
