ʿAlī ibn ʿAyyāsh narrated to us; Shuʿayb ibn Abī Ḥamzah narrated to us; from Muḥammad ibn al-Munkadir; from Jābir (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace be upon him) said,
“Whoever, when he hears the call to prayer, says: ‘O Allah, Lord of this perfect summons and of the prayer about to be performed, grant Muhammad the means of nearness and pre-eminence, and raise him to the praiseworthy station You have promised him,’ my intercession will be assured for him on the Day of Resurrection.”
It is related from Anas ibn Mālik and others among the people of knowledge concerning Allah’s words, ‘So, by your Lord, We shall surely question them all about what they used to do’ (Q 15:93), that its meaning is: ‘There is no deity except Allah.’
Allah, Exalted is He, also says: ‘That Paradise—you have inherited it because of what you used to do’ (Q 7:43); and He says: ‘For the like of this let the workers strive’ (Q 37:61); and He says: ‘A reward for what they used to do’ (Q 32:17).
