Muḥammad ibn Yūsuf narrated to us; Yūnus ibn al-Ḥārith narrated to us; ʿAmr ibn Shuʿayb narrated from his father, from his grandfather, who said: “The verse, ‘Indeed, the wicked are in error and engulfed in blazing flames’ (al-Qamar 54:47) was revealed concerning the proponents of qadar.” The same is reported from Ibn ʿAbbās and Muʿādh ibn Anas رضي الله عنهم.
