Adam narrated to us; Warqāʾ narrated to us, from Ibn Abī Najīḥ, from Mujāhid: regarding Allah’s words, “and by a Book inscribed” (al-Ṭūr 52:2), he said, “and by written scrolls,” and regarding “in parchment unrolled” (al-Ṭūr 52:3), he said, “in a codex.”
