ʿAmr ibn Muḥammad narrated—through Ibn ʿUyaynah, from ʿAmr, from Ṭāwūs, from ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUmar (may Allah be pleased with them)—who said: “Everything is by divine decree, even incapacity and aptitude.”
Ibn ʿAbbās (may Allah be pleased with them) likewise said: “Everything is by divine decree, even the very act of placing your hand upon your cheek.”
