ʿAli ibn ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Yazid ibn al-Harith narrated to us; Abu al-Samḥ narrated to us; Abu Qabil al-Muʿafari reported that he heard ʿUqbah ibn ʿAmir (may Allah be pleased with him) say that he heard the Prophet ﷺ declare: “I fear two things for my community: that they pursue their desires and defer the prayers, and that the Quran will be learned by hypocrites who then use it to argue against the believers.”
