Adam related to us; Shuʿbah narrated to us, from Qatādah, who said: I heard Anas ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him) say, “There was a sudden alarm in Madinah, so the Prophet ﷺ borrowed a horse from Abū Ṭalḥah called al-Mandūb and mounted it. When he returned he said, ‘We saw nothing, yet we found it to be an ocean.’” ⦗113⦘
Musaddad related to us; Yaḥyā narrated to us, from Shuʿbah, who told me from Qatādah, from Anas ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet ﷺ with this same report.
It was likewise transmitted by Ghundar, Ibn al-Mubārak, and ʿAmr ibn Marzūq, all from Shuʿbah.
