Muhammad ibn ʿUbayd narrated to us; Anas ibn ʿIyad related to us; from al-Harith ibn ʿAbd al-Rahman ibn ʿAbd Allah ibn Abi Dhibab; from Ibrahim ibn ʿAbd Allah ibn Hunayn; from his father; from ʿAli—may Allah be pleased with him—who said: “The Prophet—peace and blessings be upon him—forbade me to recite the Quran while I am bowing.”
