ʿAbd Allāh ibn Yūsuf narrated to us; al-Layth related to us; Yazīd ibn Abī Ḥabīb told me that Ibrāhīm ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Ḥunayn informed him, on the authority of his father, who said that he heard ʿAlī—may Allah be pleased with him—declare: “The Prophet—peace and blessings be upon him—forbade me to recite the Quran while I am bowing.”
