Ismāʿīl narrated to us; Mālik related to me, from Nāfiʿ, from Ibrāhīm ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Ḥunayn, from his father, from ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib—may Allah be pleased with him—that the Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—prohibited reciting the Quran while in bowing (rukūʿ).
