Abu ʿAbd Allah said: As for the actions of the servants, ʿAli b. ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Marwan b. Muʿawiyah narrated to us; Abu Malik narrated to us, from Ribʿi b. Hirash, from Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet ﷺ said, “Allah fashions every craftsman and his craftsmanship.” On that occasion some of them recited: “And Allah created you and what you do” (Surah al-Saffat 37:96). Thus, He made it clear that the crafts and those who practice them are all created.
