ʿAli ibn al-Jaʿd narrated to us; Shuʿbah related to us, from Qatādah, who said: I heard Anas—may Allah be pleased with him—say, “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ fashioned a signet ring; it is as though I can still see its bright whiteness on his hand, and its inscription read: ‘Muhammad, Messenger of Allah.’”
