ʿUthmān ibn Muḥammad narrated to us; Jarīr narrated, from Manṣūr, from al-Minhāl, from Saʿīd ibn Jubayr, from Ibn ʿAbbās, may Allah be pleased with them, who said:

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to seek protection for al-Ḥasan and al-Ḥusayn, saying, “Your father used to seek protection for Ishmael and Isaac with these words: ‘Aʿīdhukumā bi-kalimāt Allāh al-tāmmati kullihā min kulli shayṭānin wa hāmmah, wa min kulli ʿaynin lāmmah’—I shelter you both in all of Allah’s perfect words from every devil and poisonous creature, and from every injurious eye.”
