Abu Yaʿfur—ʿAbd Allah ibn Salih—reported to us; al-Layth related to me; Yazid ibn Abi Habib related to me, from al-Harith ibn Yaʿqub, from Yaʿqub ibn ʿAbd Allah, who said that he heard Busrah ibn Saʿid say: I heard Saʿd ibn Abi Waqqas say: I heard Khawlah bint Hakim say:

“The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to say: ‘Whoever stops at a campsite and says, “I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created,” nothing will harm him until he departs from that place.’” ⦗97⦘

ʿAbd Allah ibn Yusuf also narrated it to us; al-Layth transmitted the same report. Adam narrated to us; al-Layth, from Yazid, conveyed it in a similar form. Likewise, Qutaybah narrated to us; al-Layth, from Yazid, and he summarized the ḥadīth.
