Yahya ibn Bishr narrated to us—Rawh narrated to us—Zuhayr ibn Muhammad narrated to us, from Zayd ibn Aslam, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet ﷺ, conveying it from his Lord, said: “Whoever draws near to Me by a handspan, I draw near to him by an arm’s length; and whoever draws near to Me by an arm’s length, I draw near to him by a fathom.”
