Ibrāhīm ibn al-Mundhir narrated to us; Maʿn narrated; Muʿāwiyah narrated; from Rabīʿah ibn Yazīd; from al-Ṣunābiḥī, who said:
We visited ʿUbādah ibn al-Ṣāmit (may Allah be pleased with him) during the illness from which he was suffering. ʿUbādah said, “Whoever would like to behold a man who seems to have been taken up to heaven and then brought back down to earth—now acting in accordance with what he saw—let him look at this man. And, if I am able….”
Then ʿUbādah continued: “I have not withheld from you any ḥadīth I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that contains benefit for you—except this one. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: ‘Let those of you who are present convey it to those who are absent, and whoever dies bearing witness that there is no god but Allah alone, without partner, Paradise is assured for him.’”
