Qutaybah narrated to us; al-Layth narrated to us, from Muʿāwiyah ibn Ṣāliḥ, from ʿAbd-Allāh ibn Abī Qays, who said:

“I asked ʿĀʾishah—may Allah be pleased with her—about the Prophet’s witr prayer. I said, ‘How was his recitation? Would he keep the Quran low-voiced or recite it aloud?’ She replied, ‘Sometimes he would recite quietly, and sometimes he would recite aloud.’”
