Abu Jaʿfar narrated to us; he said, “I heard Abu al-Mundhir relate—from someone who had heard Muʿtamir ibn Sulayman—that he would denounce anyone who declared, ‘The Qur’an is created,’ and would brand him an innovator.”

Abu ʿAbd Allah remarked, “It is said that Salm ibn Ahwaz was the one who killed Jahm.”
