Musaddad narrated to us; Yahya narrated to us; from Shuʿbah, from Qatadah, from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), who said, “I heard the Prophet ﷺ say: ‘Among the signs of the Hour is that knowledge will be taken away, and that ignorance will become widespread.’

Muslim narrated to us; Hisham narrated to us; Qatadah narrated to us the same report. It was also transmitted by Ibn ʿUmar (may Allah be pleased with both of them) from the Prophet ﷺ, and it was related with similar wording by Humayd ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, Abū Salamah, Yazīd ibn al-Aṣamm, ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Yaʿqūb, Abū Yūnus, and ʿĪsā ibn Dīnār from his father, all of them from Abū Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him).
