Khalq Afal al-Ibad lil-BukhariAl-Bukhari

ʿAli narrated to us; al-Walid ibn Muslim narrated to us; Ibn Thawban narrated to me; my father narrated to me, from Makḥul, from Jubayr ibn Nufayr, from Malik ibn Yukhamir, who said: I heard Muʿādh ibn Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) say, “The last words with which I took leave of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) were these: I asked, ‘O Messenger of Allah, which deeds are dearest to Allah, or most excellent?’ He replied, ‘That you die while your tongue is still moist with the remembrance of Allah.’”
