ʻAli ibn Ḥafṣ narrated to us; ʿAbd Allah informed us; Shuʿbah informed us; and ʿĀṣim ibn ʿUbayd Allah related to me, saying: “I heard Sālim; I heard my father; I heard ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb (may Allah be pleased with him); and I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: ‘Everyone is facilitated for that which he was created to do.’”

Ghundar and al-Juddī also corroborated this report from Shuʿbah.

Allah the Exalted says, “and [in] the diversity of your tongues and your colors” (al-Rūm 30:22).

Abu ʿAbd Allah remarked, “The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) clarified that the remembrance of Allah is itself the deed.”
