Muhammad narrated to us; Ghundar narrated to us; Shuʿbah narrated to us—Talhah al-Yami told me, “I heard Ibn Awsajah say, ‘I heard al-Barāʾ ibn ʿĀzib (may Allah be pleased with him) relate that the Prophet ﷺ said: ‘Adorn the Quran with your voices.’”

ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Awsajah added, “I had forgotten the words, ‘Adorn the Quran with your voices,’ until al-Ḍaḥḥāk ibn Muzāḥim reminded me of them.”
