ʿUmar ibn Ḥafṣ narrated to us; my father narrated to us, from al-Aʿmash, who heard it from Ṭalḥah, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿAwsajah, from al-Barāʾ (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet ﷺ, who said: “Adorn the Quran with your voices.”

Qutaybah narrated to us; Jarīr narrated to us, from al-Aʿmash, from Ṭalḥah with this same wording.

ʿUthmān narrated to us; Jarīr narrated to us, from Manṣūr, from Ṭalḥah in a similar report.
