Section: Returning to the Texts of the Two Revelations

The passages in the Qur’an and the Sunnah are of two sorts. Some are general—wording that covers numerous genera, kinds, or individual cases, and these make up the larger part of the texts. Others are specific, pointing only to certain genera, kinds, or individual cases.
