- Indication by full correspondence: this occurs when the wording is applied to the whole of the intended meaning.
- Indication by inclusion: when we use the wording as proof for only part of its meaning.
- Indication by necessary implication: when, from the wording of the Quran and the Sunnah and their meaning, we infer the corollaries, supplements, conditions, and all that is indispensable for the matter being ruled on or reported to be complete.

ودلالة التزام، إذا استدللنا بلفظ الكتاب والسنة ومعناهما على توابع ذلك ومتمماته وشروطه، وما لايتم ذلك المحكوم فيه أو المخبر عنه إلا به.
