Silsilat al-Ahadith al-SahihahNasir al-Din al-Albani

Hudbah as well, along with others, who said: “Al-Qāsim narrated it to us in this manner”—without mentioning al-Jurayrī. Al-Bazzār said after the hadith:

“We know of no one who narrated it in this manner except al-Qāsim. He was a well-known Basran, and he narrated it from Abū Saʿīd Shahr ibn Ḥawshab, adding something not found in the narration of Abū Naḍrah.”

  1. At the end of Hadith (132):

Note: As for what has been reported from ʿĀʾishah—may Allah be pleased with her—that she miscarried a child by the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, whom he named ʿAbd Allah and after whom he gave her a kunyah, it is false both in its chain of transmission and its text. Its explanation is found in volume nine of al-Ḍaʿīfah, no. (4137).

  1. At the end of Hadith (176), before the final two lines:

Al-Bayhaqī also transmitted it in al-Sunan al-Kubrā (7/282), through the route of ʿAbd al-Razzāq, in both of the previously mentioned versions. However, he did not mention the man between al-Zuhrī and Abū Hurayrah. Then he and al-Bazzār (3/342–343) narrated it through the route of Zuhayr ibn Muḥammad al-Baghdādī: “ʿAbd al-Razzāq narrated to us; Maʿmar narrated to us, from al-Zuhrī, from ʿUbayd Allah ibn ʿAbd Allah ibn ʿUtbah, from Abū Hurayrah,” attributing it to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, with this wording.

I say: This too is an authentic chain of transmission.

  1. At the end of Hadith (230):

I then found something in the statement of the hadith’s narrator himself, Abū Bakrah al-Thaqafī—may Allah be pleased with him—that supports this heading and confirms that the prohibition in the words, “Do not repeat it,” does not refer to bowing outside the row and walking toward it, nor does it preclude counting that unit of prayer. For ʿAlī ibn Ḥujr narrated in his Hadiths (1/17/1): “Ismāʿīl ibn Jaʿfar al-Madanī narrated to us; Ḥumayd narrated to us, from al-Qāsim ibn Rabīʿah, from Abū Bakrah—a man who had been a Companion—that he would leave his house and find the people already bowing. So he would bow with them, then proceed while bowing until he entered the row, and he would count it as a unit of prayer.”
